On Tuesday, a special event was on the timetable for the pupils of the Hermann-Löns-Schule. As a European school, the school always strives to familiarize the children with Europe and the European idea. This time, this was achieved with the help of the Pindakaas Saxophone Quartet and the two gifted actors Frank Dukowski and Marcell Kaiser. As Phileas Fogg and Monsieur Passepartout, they embarked on a new wager based on the story "Around the World in 80 Days". They were to travel through all the countries of Europe in one month. In two entertaining performances, the children experienced an exciting journey on stage, always accompanied by typical European melodies from a great saxophone quartet. The means of transportation of choice consisted of a wooden crate which, depending on the destination, was transformed into a train, a submarine, a zeppelin or a cruise ship.
A special thank you goes to the Catholic parish of St. Agatha, who made the premises in the vicarage available to the school community. We would also like to thank our colleague Susanne Büscher, who was in charge of planning the day.
