Europe Day - annual actions

The 1st classes, accompanied by their teachers and some parents, set off by train to Glanerbrug. There they buy the appropriate food for a typical Dutch breakfast. Beforehand, the names of the foods for a Dutch "ontbijt" were worked out with the children in class.

The 2nd classes travel together to the zoo in Nordhorn. A German-Dutch zoo tour awaits the children, teachers and parents there.

The 3rd graders organize their Europe Day differently every year. For example, the children enjoy a day at the "Hoge Boekel" play paradise in Enschede. In 2019, the students went to Saxion University in Enschede. There, the children attended various workshops (e.g. Escape Room, mime, dance, games). They also participated in a joint puzzle game with Dutch children.

The 4th grades attend the participatory concert of the "Orkest van het Oosten". The children studied the songs and dances in class beforehand, so they can actively support the orchestra and the shows.
