The German Sports Badge award ceremony took place in glorious sunshine on Friday. Numerous pupils from the elementary school were recognized for their sporting achievements.
The individual athletes were honored by Mr. Meesker from Sparkasse, which has supported the event for many years and was once again a sponsor this year.
There was great joy at the many bronze and silver medals awarded. Three gold medals, which were awarded for outstanding achievements, were also a particular highlight.
The event ended with much applause from classmates and teachers and has already whetted the appetite for the next sports festival.
