On Friday, September 18, 2026, the three fourth-grade classes went to the Bülten for “Forest Day.” The hunting club, with support from the city of Gronau, had set up many interesting stations. The children got to act as forest explorers, try their hand at playing the hunting horn, meet the female goshawk “Irma” in person, learn about fawn rescue efforts, and discover lots of interesting facts about the forest.
All three 4th-grade classes were thrilled and got to put their new knowledge to the test in a quiz at the end. The forest is a great place for learning outside of school, and we’d like to thank the many volunteers from the Hegering who made this experience possible.
